Description
One of two matching armchairs. Aluminum frame armchair made by the Warren McArthur Corporation. Anodized aluminum frame formed by tubular members joined with aluminum rings. Raised on four legs supported by rubber disc pads. Rectangular upholstered armrests with square seat and seat back, all in floral upholstery. Designed to match settee, 2016-36-5.
Provenance
Part of a collection owned by twin brothers Dr. John Houlihan (dental surgeon) and Dr. James Houlihan (optometrist). Used in their medical office waiting room in Torrington, CT. Purchased in 1939 by Dr. John Houlihan from the Superintendent of the Warren McArthur Corporation in Bantam, CT.
