Tiger Maple long gun with iron barrel and brass fitting, including a brass mending plate around neck of stock. "D.S." carved into one side of the stock.
Comment
This long gun was possibly made by Medad Hills in Goshen, CT. The gun is unsigned, but compared to other existing examples of signed muskets it has been determined that this particular gun is very similar and likely made in Goshen as well.
