Skirt from a two-piece, side saddle riding habit of navy blue wool. Skirt with asymmetrical opening (side saddle apron) with five buttons and buttoned pocket at right side; black lining. Off-white woven label at skirt front with text, "Richards & Son/MANOR HOUSE/MARKET HARBOROUGH" and handwritten text "Miss Baker."
Provenance
Worn by Anne Lyon Haight (1890-1977) as part of riding ensemble. A photo in the LHS archives (2020-23-0) shows Anne in riding habit (2020-23-20,21) and hat (2020-23-22), holding crop (2020-23-24).
