Description
Two souvenir buttons from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Round metal buttons with straight pins. Printed front with red border and white background; blue text, "NATIONAL BASEBALL/HALL OF FAME/COOPERSTOWN, N.Y." In black text along bottom edge, "SPEIGEL NOVELTY CO., INC. NYC."
Provenance
Kept in travel case containing souvenirs of Art Webster and his wife, who went on an Alaskan Cruise on the S.S. Chilcotin in 1952. Sometime later, a reunion was organized in Cooperstown for individuals on the same trip. A letter from the secretary of the reunion committee was donated to the LHS archives, and lists the scheduled activities. It is likely that the Websters visited the Baseball Hall of Fame while attending the reunion.
