Description
Three-piece G.A.R. reunion medal. Yellow metal bar pin at top with "COMRADE" label. Ivory silk ribbon with gold printing: "54TH ANNUAL / RE-UNION / OF THE / 2ND CONN. / HEAVY ARTY. / TORRINGTON, CONN. / SEPT. 9, 1919." Ribbon gathered into back of a button with a black and white photograph of a bearded man in a dark suit, the commander of the G.A.R. unit at the time of issue. Paper label on reverse of button.
