Description
Large rectangular wooden trade sign with molded edge. Body of sign consists of a wood backing with front painted body and molded border affixed to the front. Front of sign painted black. "M. LAHART & CO." painted in gold across sign with a thin gold rectangular border painted around it. Backing piece painted white.
Comment
This sign was made for M. LaHart and Company by Write Way Signs in 2007. The sign hung on the store front in Litchfield, CT until 2012 when the store closed. It was located in the apothecary building that previously housed Luke Lewis's druggist and grocer's shop and the Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe (antiques store).
