Description
Acrylic on canvas painting of a farm scene. Post and wire fence in foreground, curling to the left and extending into the background. Pond in the middle ground with a lightly forested island in the middle. At the horizon are multiple buildings: a red farmhouse with multiple outbuildings at the left, and a cluster of white farm buildings at the center. Hills are visible at the right, beyond grassy fields. Signed at lower-right, "Judi Caprio." Framed in wood frame with weathered/barn wood finish.
Comment
Painting shows Arbutus Farm in Milton, Litchfield, Connecticut. The Litwin family purchased 150 acres in Milton (former Catlin-Goslee farm) in 1928 and named the property Arbutus Farm.
