Description
Large, rectangular American flag made from linen. Alternating red and white stripes with rectangular dark blue field in one corner. Forty-six white cotton stars sewn onto both sides of blue field. A white cotton binding runs along one side of the flag bordering the dark blue field and the alternating red and white stripes. Metal grommets in top and bottom corners of the cotton binding. Cotton and twine string tried to one grommet. Flag is worn thin from use and has occasional, small holes throughout.

This flag was owned by Fred Wiggin who lived on South Street in Litchfield. His sister, Charlotte was a long-time Curator of the Litchfield Historical Society.
