Description
Sword with straight iron blade with etchings. Brass hilt. Single down turned quillon. Knuckle bow is a double helix. Eagle's head pommel. Ivory grip with some grooves. 32" blade length.
Provenance
Tradition states that this sword was carried by Major Moses Seymour at battles of Bemis Heights, Still Water, Saratoga and during the Tryon raids on Danbury, Ridgefield and New Haven during the American Revolutionary War.
