Description
Wooden fife (possibly rosewood) in one piece with silver mounts at each end. Elliptical embouchure hole with six finger holes. Bands of thin twine wrapped around fife in five locations; twin tied in a continuous strand.

Found with a flute made by Asa Hopkins. Likely Civil War era.
