Description
Small trophy or loving cup, silver plated with gilt wash on interior. Narrow urn shape with slight rim, terminating in short foot. Urn is mounted on a wider metal base, which is colored black. Two ornate handles with s-scrolls terminating in simple acanthus leaves. Engraved on one side, "THE FORMAN SCHOOLS/WINTER CARNIVAL/CLASS-C/1935." Label pasted underneath base, "W.B./MFG. CO./4153."
Provenance
Trophy belonged to donor's father, W. D. Dobbins Sr. (1924-2006), who came to Litchfield in 1930 to go to the Spring Hill School. He continued on to the Forman School.
