Description
Black rectangular leather case with sides that hold in and snap closure. Inside is a medal in three parts: 1st part - brass name plate with narrow decoration corder - "H.W. Marrin"; 2nd part - red, white and blue ribbed silk ribbon gathered into 3rd part; 3rd part - a brass greek cross with an eagle with wings spread, in its talons are arrows and shield of the U.S.A, a ribbon overlaps the shield with the words, "UNITED STATES FORCES." On the verso of the cross it states that the medal as presented by the people of Montclair, NJ in grateful recognition of patriotic service during the "World War."
