Description
Black beaver fur top hat. Black satin ribbon around hat. Black satin trimming on brim. Inside lined in cream colored silk. Green leather sweat band around interior. Interior top stamped in black with a crest for Marlborough, London. "MADE FOR / M.H. LAMBERT & CO. / 854 CHAPEL ST. / New Haven, Ct. U.S.A." Stamped below crest. Leather hat box. Handle on top of lid closes with leather strap with buckle at end that fastens in front by placing knob in hole. Key hole below this hole. On metal plate containing key hole: "Pat July 27-37" engraved above key hole with "Eagle Lock Co" below it. Interior lined in plum silk. Inside at top on either side are straps with buckles on the end.
