Description
Empty glass bottle for "Litchfield Whiskey" produced by the Litchfield Distillery of Litchfield, Connecticut. Clear glass bottle with elongated, ovoid base with thick glass bottom. Bottle widens at shoulders and finishes with a long, glass neck. Wood and cork stopper. Attached on front side is a tan paper label with black printed text, "LITCHFIELD/DISTILLERY/A SPECIAL RELEASE TO COMMEMORATE/LITCHFIELD'S 300TH ANNIVERSARY" and "LITCHFIELD/WHISKEY/AGED 4 YEARS" around a logo of a colonial soldier pushing a cannon; batch information below. On reverse, a second paper tag describing the whiskey and listing producer's information and require warnings.
Provenance
The bottle features an altered version of the Distillery's logo (a batcher rolling a barrel). Produced to commemorate Litchfield's 300th Anniversary. The Distillery is located on Rt. 202, just before North Shore Road.
