Black silk taffeta women's jacket. Center-front opening with tucks and five large buttons for asymmetrical closure. Rolled moiré collar. Tucks at back. Long sleeves with folded back moiré cuffs. No lining.

Descended in donor's family (Lyon/Haight/Griswold). Possibly worn by Charlotte Disoway Gilbert (1837-1915).
