Description
Metal pin, American Red Cross. Joined metal letters "A.R.C.", painted black. Straight pins attached to "A" and "C," with butterfly clasps.
Provenance
From the estate of Margery Boyd (1906-1992), a longtime volunteer with the Litchfield Chapter, American Red Cross. Born in New York, Boyd moved to Litchfield with her family. She began with the Red Cross as a canvasser in 1927; founded the Chapter's Motor Service in 1942; and served as chapter chair on three occasions. She received the Connecticut Red Cross Volunteer Recognition Award and the Clara Barton Medal.
