Description
U.S. Army service uniform in four parts. A: Uniform jacket, dark green polyester twill. Single-breasted with lapels and brass buttons at center front and on pocket. Double-patch pockets at chest and waist, epaulets on shoulders with buttons. Long sleeves with black braid. Center back pleat. Dark green acetate lining, with interior chest pockets. B: Long pants in matching fabric. Two flap pocket in back with buttons. Black braid down side seams. Zippered fly front. C: Light green polyester and wool shirt with spread collar and button front. Two flap breast pockets. Long sleeves with cuffs. Epaulets at shoulders with black bands with gold metallic trim. D: Black necktie with three buttonholes.
Provenance
Worn by Brian Finan, b. Litchfield, who served in the Army from 1976 to 1994 and retired as a Major. Finan served as an undercover intelligence officer for most of his career. Finan's father, James Finan, served during World War II; his jacket is also in the collection (2020-42-2).
