Description
Round silver medal hanging below a red, white, and blue striped grosgrain ribbon. Pin back on one side of ribbon. Medal is cast on the front showing two figures in robes holding a torch between them. Various symbols surround the two central figures, and "PRO/ PATRIA" is below them. The back of the medal features the state seal of Connecticut in the center with a laurel wreath and ribbon below it. "AWARDED BY THE WAR COUNCIL/ CONNECTICUT/ FOR EXTRAORDINARY CIVILIAN SERVICE" surround the central image.
Provenance
This medal was awarded to Col. Samuel H. Fisher of Litchfield, CT during WWII for extraordinary civilian service by the War Council of Connecticut.
