Description
Off-white multi-colored floral wool challis girl's dress. Round neckline with tatted lace edge. Fitted bodice with front and back darts. Short puff sleeves gathered with elastic. Full gathered skirt. Center front and back V formed by tatted lace. Center back metal zipper. Hand and machine stitched. Six square metal buttons down center front.
Provenance
Donor states she wore the dress in NYC. She was born in 1928.
Comment
Possible alteration of elastic and seam binding in sleeves. Early use of metal zipper. Buttons seem to be more contemporary than from the 1930s.
