G.A.R. medal. Bar pin with red, white and blue striped ribbon, gathered into bronze ring. From second ring is suspended circular bronze medal with lettering: "WELCOME VETERANS / CAMP DUTTON / THE 19th CONN. INFANTRY / AFTERWARD / 2ND CONN. HEAVY ARTILLERY / MUSTERED INTO U.S. SERVICE / ON THIS FIELD / SEPTEMBER 11, 1862 / ERECTED 1912 / BY THE SURVIVORS."
