Description
Glass conical measure for pharmaceutical use. Glass cylinder with flared rim and small spout, tapering slightly at bottom where it connects to a round glass base. Graduated measurements on one side, 0-15 ml; 04 dram on the other. Measurements in blue ink. Stamped in blue ink below rim, "K/EXAX/USA" and in red ink "Lilly" in script font.
Provenance
Removed along with other items from Murphy's Pharmacy on West Street, Litchfield, after the business closed in 2019.
Comment
Murphy's Pharmacy began as the Marley Pharmacy, opened by William Marley after the left the business partnership of Crutch & Marley located farther up West Street. The pharmacy was purchased by Joseph Murphy sometime between 1948 and 1951.
