Description
Iron blade, slightly curved, single groove in it. Grip ribbed. Full, wide knuckle bow riveted to top of pommel. Wide, disked guard at base of hilt. Paper label on blade that is completely obscured. Identified as a British Naval cutlass

Hessian officer's sword given to Major Moses Seymour after the Battle of Saratoga. This sword hung on the wall of the Seymour house on South Street until 1949.
