Bodice and skirt of purple silk and velvet A: Bodice has round neck with white lace collar; 14 hook fasteners down front; sleeves puffed at shoulders; long sleeves with purple braiding at cuff which has 3" split; back of bodice has split tail at middle of waist which is lined with pale purple silk; interior of bodice lined with white silk; 11 stays sewn into lining; inner waist tie with 4 hook fasteners; label printed on tie "Miss Julia Browne/180 W. 20th St./N.Y."; 2 round silk covered buttons on tail B: Skirt has black silk waistband; fastens down back with 9 hooks and eyes; from waist to floor down front are four vertical bands of purple braiding; large hem finished with black binding; lining is purple glazed silk
