Description
Piece of wood paneling from the Marsh House which stood on the corner of East and South Streets where the Noyes Memorial Building now stands. Panel is painted by Emily Noyes Vanderpoel with image of Marsh House as it looked before it was torn down in 1899. Painted around beveled edge of wood "House Built By Ebenezer/Marsh in 1759 Taken Down in 1899 to Give Place/to Noyes Memorial " Painting shows a clapboard house with green louvred shutters at windows. Center double door. Flower garden in yard at right. Large trees surrounding house.
