Wooden case inlaid with brass. Brass hinges. Red velvet lining fitted to hold specific instruments. Various surgical instruments, knives, saws, pliers, a brush, needles, a box of quinine capsules, etc. Used by Dr. Wm. Deming of Litchfield who graduated from the medical department of Yale College in 1856
