Brown taffeta dress with horizontal bands of brown and fine red stripes; round neck with hook and eye closures down the front; full, elbow length sleeves open on under side with brown tassels along edge; skirt is full and pleated; bodice lining is off white cotton; skirt lining is brown taffeta
Comment
Worn by Jerusha Clark Peck - wife of Henry Clark of New Haven. It is believed that Peck attended the Litchfield Female Academy sometime before 1813. She died in 1859.
