Arm chair; four reeded vertical rails; flat crest rail with cut out at top center; back posts have four bulbous turnings above seat with round finial at top; arms are rectangular with a slight bend shaped where they fit into posts and end in round arms rests; front posts are vase turned above seat and ring turned below; one front stretcher; double stretcher on each side which are sausage turned; two back stretchers plain, round; feet worn down; entire chair grain finished; cane seat

Chair originally owned by Col. Benjamin Hinman (1720-1810) of Woodbury. Chair was brought to Woodbury by his father from Fairfield, CT
