Description
A simple clock case; cherry wood. Cove molding at top of bonnet which has no moldings or ornamentation. Glass over face of clock is not hinged. Cover with double band at edge repeated at top of door at top of base which tapers in slightly and ends in simple bracket feet with French foot proportion but no curve. Straight apron higher on sides. Hinged piece of wood which turns perpendicular to hold door shut on case. Face of clock has Roman numerals. Iron hands. Design on face of a sunburst with face surrounded by 14 gilt stars.
