Description
A: Medal - round, brass with blue enamel, "H" and "L" in blue overlap in center. "AMAT VICTORIA CURAM" printed in gold on blue enamel border around center of medal. Six brass rectangular bars attached by rings, one above the other, above the medal. Each bar engraved with a different year, starting with "1894" at top to "1899" at bottom. Strung together in numerical order. B: Cardboard box, covered in glossy white paper. Bottom lined with white silk. Lid hinged on short side, flips open. Printed on top of lid "C.B. Wilkinson/Manufacturing Jeweler/No 42 John Street/New York"

Appears a larger medal was stored in box at one time, marks in silk where pin woven through - likely this medal and box do not belong together
