Description
Patchwork quilted coverlet. Made of three roller printed red ground cottons—one with blue stylized flowers, one with blue oak leaves and stylized blue flowers, and one with yellow pin stripes and alternating green circles and green and yellow flowers—alternating with white. Worked into patterns including Shoofly in the center, Delectable Mountain overall, with a Saw Tooth border. Triangular quilting. Quilt backed with white coarse weave cotton.

Made by Harriet Kinney before her marriage to Lucius Culver. LHS has portraits of Lucius Lorenzo Culver (maker's husband, donor's grandfather), Nisus Kinney (maker's father), and of Sarah Kinney (maker's sister); all three by Ammi Phillips.
