Rectangular cedar box with two hinged lid with locking device on the front, opening to a liner of cedar, embossed and blackened on top: "Phelps Tavern / Coronos / Litchfield, Conn. " in an oval, repeated inside top, on sides" "Boite Nature" and on front "Coronas". Federal Tax stamps on bottom and on front side.
