Description
Still life of brown marbled table with white cloth. Pewter bowl in center filled with fruit including lemons, pears, cherries, star fruit, pomegranate and grapes. Squash sits in front of bowl and half peeled lemon. Yellow and silver lusterware pitcher sits to left of pewter bowl. Green bird with yellow and red head perches on cherry stem protruding from pewter bowl. Glass vase visible in back of painting. Background painted black. Wooden frame painted gold with linen liner between frame and painting. Paper taped to back - entry to Kent Art Association Inc. Sticker on back of frame "Flieg & Newbury/Photographic & Art Supplies/Custom Framing/75 East Main St. Torrington, Connecticut"

Ronald Lee Anderson was the life partner of Thomas McBride. McBride operated an antique shop behind his home on West St. (Trowbridge House next to Town Hall) McBride's entire shop and contents of home were auctioned off in June 2010 when McBride relocated to Florida. This painting was Lot #145 at the auction.
