Large black, thick cotton stockings; top of each stitched in thread "IC"
Comment
Christopher Leffingwell had a stocking knitting mill in Norwich, CT in last half of 18th century; if these are not hand knit they may be an example of Leffingwell stockings. They were purchased by William Warren at auction of Geer House at Preston, CT in 1962
