Description
Dark olive green jacket (also called a blouse) of knit wool; two patch pockets at breast; two inset pockets with flaps at sides; epaulettes; bright brass buttons; braid around cuffs; patch insignia on right wrist - six gold bars; lined in front but not in back of jacket; vent in back; two belt loops at side seams on waist. Several pins on jacket: fabric covered yellow with two red white and blue stripes; brass pin of crossed cannons with "5" over top (2 of these); "US" in brass (2 of these); plain silver colored bars (2 of these); round enamel red, green, white, and brass pin "Faithful & True" with image of tree "Through" (2 total). Labels on jacket: "Regulation Air Corps Officers Uniform"; "Coat Officer Air Corp/Elastique Dark/Wm. P. Goldman & Bros. Inc./Date 6-24-42/Cont. No. 696 Q.M. 19588/Spec. No. P.Q.D. 149 A/Stock No./Phila. Q.M. Depot" on inside interior pocket.
