Description
Slant top desk set on high stand (similar to a lectern). One drawer underneath desk. Low stretcher. Four thin block legs. Top of desk hinged with butterfly hinges. Grain painted in red.
Comment
From the house of Truman Marsh. Used by the Rev. Truman Marsh (1768-1851) who was the rector fo St. Michael's Church of Litchfield for 27 years. He lived on the southwest corner of Meadow and West streets where Murphy's drug store stands today.
