Description
Four fruit wood or boxwood traveling apothecary containers, all of cylindrical forms. A-C: bullet shaped form with screw on top and base, clear glass bottle with stopper inside; D-F: top and bottom screw together, glass jar without lid inside; G-J: Cylindrical base with screw top and rounded lid with screw bottom that tapers to a round handle, glass bottle inside with stopper, both parts labeled "LEOPOLD/FOURNISSEUR DE/S.M. L'EMPEREUR/10 RUE CASTIGLIONE/PARIS"; K-M: rounded screw top (marked "F. TOMES & SONS/NEW YORK"), upper compartment with small rounded glass bowl and screw top and bottom, middle compartment missing glass bowl with screw top and bottom, lower compartment with shallow glass bowl and screw top.
