Mounted in oval dark blue velvet-covered case. Bust portrait of elderly, full face, looking right. Balding on top, has white hair, full beard and mustache (both white), grey eyes, black coat and bow tie. Background greyish blue.
Comment
The miniature is signed, lower-left, "C.D. Fredricks." Possibly a miniature or hand-colored photo miniature done by Charles DeForest Fredricks (1823-1894), although no other such example can be found.
