Sampler with alphabet, Ten Commandments, "Anna P. Thompson wrought this Sampler Dec 4th 1823 Aged 9 Years" Below is house with trees on either side, blue and yellow predominate.
Comment
Anna P. Thompson, born August 13, 1814, was the daughter of William and Anna Thompson of Litchfield, Connecticut. It is believed that because Anna's father William was a subscriber to the Litchfield Female Academy Anna likely studied at Sarah Pierce's school in Litchfield around the year 1823. Little else is known about Anna's life until her death in 1894.
