Description
Watercolor on paper, blue background. Figure has brown curly hair, brown eyes, black coat and white shirt. Almost full-face, bust length. Originally framed in black wood frame, under daguerreotype preserver, glass, and mat.
Comment
Dickinson painted Mrs. Perkins, "Master and Miss Perkins" in Litchfield November 15, 1828. On October 2, 1831 Dickinson was in Litchfield again and painted Mr. Perkins. This miniature is believed to be a watercolor copy of the 1831 Dickinson miniature, also in the collection of LHS (1939-03-1).
