Description
Patchwork quilted coverlet, white linen homespun backing. 2" cotton fringe badly worn and 3/8" heading which appears to be earlier than applique which is comprised of late 19th century dress patterns alternating with white cotton in Nine Patch and Irish Chain designs. Patterns in field are pink and blue with sepia and ochre patches on edge.

This quilt was found in the basement of the Noyes Memorial Building in 1955 in a trunk after a flood.
