Description
Large drum with wooden frame and stretched leather over top and bottom of body. Brass tack design around body. Ropes criss-cross across body with leather straps holding them in place. Wood painted red, white and black.
Comment
Used by donor's grandfather who played in a fife and drum corps which was formed by the workers in the Hopkins and Alfred shop 20 years before the Civil War.
