Description
Cherry or mahogany Chippendale style side chiar with slip seats covered in dark green and yellow piled fabric. One of a pair. Front cabriole legs ending in ball and claw feet. Raked and chamfered back legs. Flared uprights supporting yoke top rail with turned back scroll ends and central shell design. Figured and pierced splat with diamond center pattern. Comment
Chair and it's mate 1994-06-2 belonged to donor's aunt Mrs. Hall who lived on Chestnut Hill in Litchfield. Family tradition says the chairs came from MA.
