Description
Banner is painted in oil color and gilt on a dark blue silk tissue ground. There is a gold piped red ribbon at top with the words "Bantam Division S of T" in gilt block letters. Central motif is a flesh color shaded triangle with a brown eye at the center surrounded by the words "Love" "Purity" and "Fidelity" Triangle rests on a black rod with brass hooks at ends which support a green drapery on which are the words "Instituted Dec. 29th 1846" A baroque turquoise medallion is suspended from the center of the triangle and bears the inscription "25" "Ackerman New York" is painted in small black letters on either side of plaque. The gilt letters are made three dimensional throughout by black and gold color shading.
