Description
Silk and velvet patchwork crazy quilt. Made in the friendship manner, comprised of random pattern individually made patches, some with embroidery, sewn together using various stitch patterns in various color threads. Saw tooth edges. Backed in brown silk.

Made for Harriet Seymour (1831-1912) by ladies of Fall River, MA Congregational Church when she went to Turkey as a missionary to teach in 1867.
