Round trivet with ring base and lip rim. In the center is a black transfer of a house with the words "Birthplace of John Brown, Torrington, Conn." printed underneath. Gold line around edge. Back reads "Made in Germany/P.O. Meara/Torrington, CT." Item may be a teapot stand.
