Woman's Hat, Mourning Hat, black crepe bonnet, see through brim of two layers of black crepe, black crepe over opaque brown crown, black crepe bow and rose in back. Worn by Mrs. Silas Cheney at the funeral for her husband, Silas Cheney (d. 1821) the Litchfield cabinetmaker.
