Description
Gold ring with oval shaped gold quartz stone in gold setting. Stone is 5/8" long x 1/2" wide. Wide gold band has beaded edge and X pattern just before stone on either side.
Comment
Belonged to Mr. Leach's great grandfather who called it his "gold nugget" ring. Acquired ring in California, during 1850-1860. Charles A. Leach was born in Woodbury, May 30, 1828 to George Townsend and Maria Marcia Merrill Leach. G.T. Leach was a travelling millener so family was not in Woodbury for long.
