Description
Ornate brass handguards, one hinged and the other with an eagle motif. Lion's head quillon. Single sculpted knuckle bow and many tiered pommel. Mother of pearl grip wrapped with brass wire. Iron blade engraved with names of 64 privates from Co. D 7th Regiment, New York. Also makers mark on blade "Ridabock & Co. New York" near hilt. Iron scabbard has brass tip, throat with rings, and another rring on brass ornament near throat.
