Description
Small wooden rectangular shaped trunk covered with simple geometric block printed paper of black and white lines on a yellow ground. Top is rounded and had a long hook on center front which inserts in a ring below. Cotter pin hinges.
Comment
The trunk belonged to Nancy Brace, the first wife of Horace Bissell of Harwinton and the great grandfather of the donor. Nancy and Horace were married in 1818 and she died in 1819.
