Description
Medal - brass pin bar at top. Ornament on top of pin bar of eagle with wings spread holding two crossed cannons in its claws. Attached to pin bar is blue silk ribbon. Half way down ribbon is another pin bar - rectangular with raised border. Center colored black with image of eagle with wings spread. Star shaped medal supposed to be attached to bottom. Imagery in each point of star, front has scene of two men shaking hands. Around scene "Grand Army of the Republic" and "1861 Veteran 1866" Back of medal covered with various symbols in a decorative design.
